Former star England batter Kevin Pietersen has come up with a suggestion for Virat Kohli after RCB faced another IPL exit in the current 16th season of the tournament. The former England batting great suggested Kohli to switch the franchise next season and he should play for Delhi Capitals and leave RCB in next year’s edition of the Indian Premier League.

“Time for VIRAT to make the move to the capital city…!” wrote Kevin Pietersen in a recent tweet from his official Twitter handle.

Here's a look at Kevin Pietersen's tweet for Virat Kohli:

Although, a bigger section of cricket fans, especially RCB and Virat Kohli fans couldn’t agree with KP and they felt that Virat isn’t a player who will switch the franchise just for the sake of winning a trophy.

Here’s how fans reacted:

Notably, Virat Kohli ended up the season being the third-highest run-scorer in the tournament as he aggregated 639 runs in 14 innings of the 14 matches, he played in the league stage. Kohli scored these runs with an amazing average of 53.25 having two centuries and six half-centuries to his name.

In the last two matches, Kohli amazed everyone with two consecutive centuries against the Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans. Although Kohli’s century against the defending champions Gujarat Titans in the last league match of the tournament went in vain as Gill’s century guided the Titans to win the match by six wickets.

Notably, the RCB skipper Faf du Plessis also admitted the line of fault for RCB in the 16th season of the Indian Premier League.

“To be honest, we weren’t one of the best teams in this IPL. We are lucky that were some really good performances throughout the IPL. But as a team & whole unit, we don’t deserve to be in the semifinals. But still hurts,” said du Plessis in the aftermath of the defeat against Gujarat Titans.
