The 18-year-old spin sensation Rehan Ahmed became part of the headlines when his name was included in England’s Test squad for a three-match Test series starting on December 1. Ahmed was England’s second-highest wicket-taker at the Under-19 World Cup 2022 in New Zealand. The youngster took 12 wickets from the 4 matches he played in the World Cup. However, England lost the final against India by 4 wickets.

Ahmed impressed the coaching staff with his attitude and genuine potential during the three-day warm-up fixtures for England Lions in the training camp in Abu Dhabi and has been added to the senior squad.

He will be the youngest player to debut for the English side if he gets the chance to play in the series under Ben Stoke's leadership. Pakistan is hosting this Test series and England would be looking to play a wrist spinner there.

‘I think we will be commentating on you very soon’: Shane Warne

Former Legendary spinner Shane Warne, who sadly passed away earlier this year, was seen telling the youngster that he is going to keep an eye on him and will be commentating on him very soon. He also predicted that Rehan will be playing first-class cricket at the age of 15.

"That is awesome man! Really, really good, I am going to keep a close eye on you. I think we will be commentating on you very soon. I think you are going to be playing first-class cricket by the age of 15!" Warne said.
