Team India is currently hosting England for a 5-match Test series. The visitors have won the 1st Test by 28 runs. Though India lost the game there were stars from the team who helped India to take a 190-run lead. KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja played a vital role. Both the cricketers have been ruled out of the 2nd Test after picking up respective injuries. Jadeja sustained a hamstring injury during play on Day 4.
On the other hand, the wicket-keeper batter who has returned from injury has been feeling pain in his right quadriceps muscle. Though he was not handling the gloves but the blows of these two players will be a big question mark for the side as they are already missing their star batter Virat Kohli due to personal reasons and now these two key players have been ruled out.
The Indian Cricket Board has announced the replacement for these players with Sarfaraz Khan Sourabh Kumar and Washington Sundar to India's squad. Sarfaraz has finally been added to the squad after so much speculation and ignorance. Sourabh Kumar the 30-year-old all-rounder has got his maiden call for the side. Washington has got a chance in the Test side since the 2021 England series.
