Rahul Dravid drops huge update about Ravindra Jadeja's injury after 1st Test against England

England defeated India by 28 runs in the 1st Test of the 5-match Test series. Men in Blue fell short of chasing a target of 231 runs. Ollie Pope was the star for the English Lions as the batter played an innings of 196 runs. Ben Stokes's side played their aggressive brand of cricket and scored 420 runs in the second innings. Rohit Sharma's side will look to bounce back and win the series as they have not lost a home series since 2012/13. 

Ravindra Jadeja who was the starrer for the home side scored 87 runs in the first innings and picked three wickets as well. In the second innings, he picked up two wickets. Jadeja was dealing with a hamstring issue. Moments before Stokes delivered a direct hit, Jadeja appeared to have injured his hamstring, which played a little influence in his game-changing dismissal.

With fewer than four days till India picks its playing XI for the second Test against England in Visakhapatnam, Jadeja could emerge as a doubtful to be featuring in the 2nd game. India is already missing the service of Virat Kohli as the star batter has been back home citing personal reasons.

Speaking to reporters Dravid said, "We'll see. I honestly haven't had a chance to speak to the physio as yet. Once I get back, I'll speak to him and see what it is about. We didn't get a hundred, you know, we didn't get somebody getting a big hundred for us. So, in some ways, in India, I just felt we left those 70, and 80 runs back in the hut in the first innings. Second innings is always going to be challenging. It's one of those things that, you know, it's tough. It's not easy to chase 230 or it's not done very often." 

Jadeja has been a crucial member of the side case the star all-rounder misses the 2nd Test this will be a big blow for the side.
