Tilak Varma and Prasidh Krishna dropped from the ODI World Cup 2023 squad
The Indian Cricket Board has faced a lot of criticism from fans and other stakeholders for releasing the schedule only 100 days before the start of the tournament, and then making further changes to it, which further delayed the release of tickets.
"The Indian Cricket Board deeply acknowledges that fans are the heartbeat of the tournament, and their unwavering passion, engagement, and contributions are pivotal to the success of the Men's Cricket World Cup 2023," the statement said.
The Indian Cricket Board chief selector, Ajit Agarkar, along with skipper Rohit Sharma, announced the squad for the upcoming mega event in the press conference which took place in Sri Lanka on Tuesday, September 5. The 15-member squad is the same as the squad that was selected for Asia Cup 2023. Only two members have been excluded from the team, Tilak Varma, and a seamer from Karnataka, Prasidh Krishna.
