Indian Cricket Board unhappy after Virat Kohli shares his yo-yo test score on social media

The Indian Cricket Board did not like the matter when the former India captain Virat Kohli shared the details of the test.

After Virat Kohli shared his yo-yo test score on social media, the Indian team management told its players not to share their fitness scores in the public domain. The Indian Cricket Board did not like the matter when the former India captain shared the details of the test.

Indian batter, who is widely considered one of the fittest players of his generation, scored 17.2 on the fitness test, well above the reported acceptable mark of 16.5. While fans were thrilled to see Kohli achieve his fitness tests at the age of 34.

The Indian Cricket Board, however, sent a verbal reminder to all the players, including Kohli, that sharing such information on social media should not be taking place. In the story, Virat stated, "The happiness of finishing the Yo-Yo test between the dreaded cones. 17.2 done."

An Indian Cricket Board source confirmed, "Players have been informed verbally to avoid posting any confidential matter on social media platforms. They can post pictures while training but posting a score leads to breach of contract clause."

The former skipper was spotted entering the Institute named Atria amid heavy security even as fans cheered for the Indian cricket star. He was seen taking selfies with the students and faculties. The police in charge of security had a hard time stopping the fans. Even the police were seen clicking photos with the 34-year-old batter. There were also chants of “RCB, RCB” in between the “Kohli, Kohli” chants.

Currently, the Indian squad is in Bengaluru at the preparatory camp at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). The camp is being done keeping in mind the forthcoming ODI World Cup. The board wants all of its players, who are selected in the squad to perform well, to remain fully fit in order to give the team the best chance of winning the title and ending the long trophy drought.

The Asia Cup campaign begins on August 30 while the Indian team will be playing its first match of the continental tournament on September 02 against arch-rivals Pakistan.
