Indian T20 League on Tuesday announced the list for the upcoming mini-auction in Kochi on December 23. A total of 405 cricketers are set to go under the hammer. Initially, a total of 369 players were shortlisted by the 10 franchises from the list of 991 players who had registered for the 2023 edition of the cash-rich league. Later, the franchises requested 36 more players which were added to the final list, making it 405 players, which will be presented at the Indian T20 League 2023 Auction.

The total number of capped players is 119, uncapped players are 282, and 4 are from associate nations. A maximum of 87 slots are now available with up to 30 being reserved for overseas players. INR 2 crore is the highest reserve price with 19 overseas players choosing to be slotted in the highest bracket.

The remaining auction pool for franchises is INR 206.5 crore. Hyderabad Franchise has the largest auction purse of Rs 42.25 crore, while Kolkata Franchise has the smallest with Rs 7.05 crore remaining.

How much money is left in all Franchisees' pockets?

Each team will have an additional Rs 5 crore apart from their Rs 90 crore salary cap for the auction. Kolkata were the busiest in the trading window, securing the services of India all-rounder Shardul Thakur from Delhi and New Zealand pacer Lockie Ferguson, Afghanistan wicketkeeper-batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz from defending champions Gujarat. Kolkata also traded Aman Khan to Delhi Franchise.

On the contrary, the likes of Chennai, Bengaluru, and Rajasthan Franchise kept mum in the trading window. Punjab were at it again as they sacked Mayank Agarwal as captain and handed over the responsibility to senior batter Shikhar Dhawan, who will now work with head coach Trevor Bayliss.

11 players are on the auction list with a base price of INR 1.5 crore. Manish Pandey and Mayank Agarwal are the two Indian players on the list of 20 cricketers with a base price of INR 1 crore. The auction will start at 2:30 pm IST on December 23.
