Former West Indies captain Kieron Pollard has been part of the Mumbai Indians and their USA subsidiary MI New York since last year. Ahead of the IPL 2023, he retired from IPL.

Former West Indies player Kieron Pollard has posted a cryptic story on Instagram. He retired from international cricket in April 2022, followed by retirement from IPL cricket early last year. In the 2022 season, he played for half of the tournament but the runs dried up. Pollard was one of the four retained players ahead of the 2022 mega auction.

The right-hander not delivering with the bat was one of the reasons why the five-time winners didn't qualify for the playoffs and finished last. In the following season, the 2012 T20 World Cup winner started working as a batting coach of the team. Apart from this, he is also part of the coaching staff in MI's subsidiary in the USA, MI New York. 

Meanwhile, at a time when the former IPL champions are being criticized for replacing Rohit Sharma as captain with Hardik Pandya, Pollard has posted a cryptic Instagram story.

Notably, the Trinidadian player was identified during the inaugural season of Champions League T20 in 2009. He played for Trinidad and Tobago Red Force and the team lost the final against New South Wales. In the 2010 player auction, he was brought by MI. Till 2022, he played for the same team before retiring
