David Warner, who is 36, is now suffering from a terrible run of form. Pat Cummins also mentioned him in relation to his future. Warner averaged only 29.48 runs per game in England before 2021 began. In 13 Ashes Tests away from home, he averages just 26.04, and he struggled especially against Stuart Broad in the 2019 series.

Warner will also play the role of the interim captain for Delhi in the upcoming Indian T20 League following Rishabh Pant's horrific accident. He has experience captaining in the world’s biggest league and would be hoping to count on that in this new challenge that he is going to embark upon.

David Warner stunned the world of cricket with one of his selections in Cricbuzz's reality show 'You have to answer,' in which players are asked to make a decision between two answers to questions according to their likes and interests. In the video, David Warner was offered to select between 10000 runs and 10 million likes on a reel, and he shockingly selected the likes on a reel.

This was shocking since runs have to be the most important thing for any batter professionally. Nonetheless, Warner chose the likes. Notably, Warner is recognized for his comprehensive social media presence and is frequent at uploading Instagram reels.

What did Pat Cummins say about the form of David Warner?

Warner has struggled for form in the recently completed tour to India, where he wasn’t able to really establish himself both in Tests and in the ODIs. Australian captain Pat Cummins, when asked about whether David Warner will play the Ashes or not, he replied by saying, “We’ll have to wait and see.”

Pat Cummins then spoke about how bowlers have an advantage over the batters in England. “The bowlers can get on top in England with the new ball. It seems around; it can be tough for opening batters. But openers who can put pressure back on the bowlers they’re priceless. I know as a bowler, if someone’s a sitting duck, you feel like you’re going to get them eventually. If someone’s kind of taking the game to you, it presents a different challenge. That’s been the hallmark of Davey’s career. Over there in England, that’s what you’d want out of him, putting that pressure back on the bowlers.”
