Australia's vice-captain in Tests, Steve Smith's crying face has always been used by English fans since the 2019 Ashes. The crying face is made from the press conference he did after the infamous 'Sandpaper' gate in 2018. While apologizing for the incident, Smith broke down in front of the media. It became a massive upheaval for the English fans as everyone is aware of the rivalry between both nations regarding Ashes.
Meanwhile, some fans were spotted using the crying face mask to celebrate the Three Lions' victory. This victory helped the team keep the series alive. After all, the Aussies were leading by 2-0 after the Edgbaston and Lords' Tests. On the Day four of the game, the Ben Stokes-led side needed to chase 221 runs, having scored 32/0 at the end of Day Three. After losing six wickets for 171, the likes of Harry Brook and Chris Woakes took the team home.

It's just banter lol. That's what the home crowd is for. To motivate the home team and to demotivate the away team. This is nothing, you should see the crowds in the premier

Football crowd fever creeping into cricket! The English crowd is rather 'in'famous for their ridiculous chants in the English Premier League, this is not even 1% of what happens in football! 😅

I warmly disagree. But this is what makes sports like cricket and Football interesting. This is the crowd which makes the game a real test for the visiting team.

Beer and their words.
Cheers to the game and its class with a beer in the glass, english crowd is fun.
Steve Smith definitely was disturbed by the crowd. He wanted to quieten the crowd and lost his thought process. He should more resolve like Steve Waugh.

I think the context is Aus media calling England team crybabies…

Steve Smith was mocked by the English crowd during the first Test too
The former Australia skipper was also mocked during the first Test at Edgbaston. In the game, the visitors won the game by two wickets. What followed was another Smith's hundred at Lords' in the second Test. That game was also won by the Kangaroos.
It will be interesting to see how Smith responds with the bat in the fourth Test in Manchester. The game will start on Wednesday, July 19. Both teams now have a 10-day as the third Test ended on Day 4 (July 9). Michael Neser, the Aussie bowler has been released from the squad to play for Glamorgan. However, he will join the team ahead of the Manchester Test. On the other hand, David Warner might face an axe as he struggled with the bat in the three games.
On the other hand, England skipper Ben Stokes has stated that this win is just a start in the team's bid to come back to win the series.
