Discarded India opener, Prithvi Shaw hasn't been considered for the Asian Games Men's Cricket competition. Apart from this, he is unlikely to play for India in the ODI World Cup 2023 as well. Apart from this, his form during the IPL 2023 for Delhi Capitals was forgettable. Meanwhile, in February this year, Shaw got involved in a controversy with social media influencer, Sapna Gill.
In an interview, the U19 World Cup 2018 winner said that these days, he likes to be alone. He added that he doesn't like to make friends as it is difficult to share thoughts with people.
"As a person, I just like to be in my own zone. People say a lot of things about me. But those who know me, know how I am. I don't have friends, I don't like to make friends. This is what's happening with this generation. You can't share your thoughts with anyone else. If you ask me personally, it's very scary. Darr lagta hai aajkal to share my thoughts. Agle din social media mein aa jaata hai (I'm scared to share my thoughts. Somehow all of it comes up on social media). I've very less friends, only a couple of friends, and even with them I don't share everything, only a few things," he said during an interview with Wisden India and Cricbuzz.
Prithvi Shaw will turn up for Northamptonshire in the Royal London Cup 2023
The right-hander will play Royal London One Day this year. About his stint, he said that he will treat those games as just another game.
"I just want to take it as any other game. It's just like the first-class games we play here. Nothing huge, just a different experience. Getting an invitation from there means a lot. It's the same - I'll have to go there and score runs for the team because that's what they are expecting from me. Obviously, they have seen me perform and that's why they have called me there. There might be something they think I'm capable of doing. I think I'll have a great time," Shaw said.

A middle class talented guy getting lost in limelight of posh life because of his careless actions, really wish that Sai baba help him to cross all the mental barriers 👏

This guy is under immense pressure & unreal scrutiny. He’s still an extra ordinary talent I hope he comes good.

Score runs in tons. Improve technique. Be more disciplined. Shun flamboyance. Correct your flaws against short and swinging deliveries. You may be back in the reckoning. Otherwise, it will be a case of yet another talent lost.
