Following a serious automobile accident in December of last year, Team India's ace wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant is making progress in his recovery. In order to keep fans informed about his recovery from the accident, Pant has regularly posted photos and videos to social media platforms since his release from Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in January. On Friday, the Indian wicketkeeper-batter provided the fans with an update on a significant development in his recovery.

Pant was depicted in the video hurling his crutches and struggling to move. Pant was using crutches to walk throughout some of his outings in the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) during Delhi Capitals (DC) games, but this is the first time the 25-year-old star has been spotted without them.

Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav and Sreesanth commented on the video to send their best wishes

In response to the video, India's famous all-rounder Hardik Pandya posted flamboyant emoticons, and former spinner Sreesanth said, "Love u brother...keep believing." Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav posted, "Spidey is back! More power to you."

Before the automobile accident on December 30 of last year, Rishabh Pant was a crucial player for the India team in all competitions. The wicketkeeper-batter was on his way home when his vehicle hit a road barrier on the Delhi-Dehradun highway. Before being transferred to a Dehradun private hospital, he received initial care at a neighbouring hospital. The cricketer was then flown to Mumbai in January, receiving additional medical care at the Kokilaben Dhirubai Ambani Hospital.

Pant was at the Capitals' IPL match against the Gujarat Titans last month and the team's practice before the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. In the 2023 edition, David Warner oversees the Capitals in Pant's absence.

Pant is expected to miss the majority of Indian cricket this year, including maybe the IPL and the ODI World Cup, which is slated to be played at home in October-November. During his absence, India's top wicketkeepers in ODIs, T20Is, and Test formats have been KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan, and KS Bharat, respectively.
