Rishabh Pant WTC final

India is getting outclassed in the ongoing WTC final against Australia at the Oval Cricket Ground. In just two days Australia has taken a massive lead in the match and the signs are not looking brought for India.

After posting a huge total (469) in the first inning, Australia dismissed half of India's batting lineup at just 151 runs. Given how India's performance has been in the past two days, it doesn't inspire much confidence in the fans who were expecting a win for the Rohit Sharma-led side.

Now, more than ever, Indian cricket fans are missing Rishabh Pant who time and again took India out of a similar kind of misery. The left-hand batter has brought wins for the Men in Blue for similar situations in Australia as well as in England.

Naturally, when Pant posted a story about watching the WTC final between India and Australia, fans came in hoards and wished for the batter to be with the team during these trying times. Many commented that they missed the batter and predicted that things would have been massively different had he been in the starting XI.

Here's how Twitter reacted to Rishabh Pant's Instagram post:

Pant has been out for months

Young sensation Rishabh Pant has been away from cricket for months now due to an injury that he sustained in a car accident. The 25-year-old was going back to his hometown when his car collided with a  divider and burnt down. Some passersby were able to pull Pant out of the burning car and take him to hospital.

This accident however was too intense and Pant had a lot of broken bones as a result of it. The Delhi Capitals captain was moved to a hospital in Mumbai for better treatment and eventually got better. He however is still not fully fit to play cricket and hence has been going through rehabilitation.

There are no certain timeline for his comeback but it is expected that the player won't be fit for the ODI World Cup 2023 which is scheduled to be held in India in October.
