India’s star allrounder Ravindra Jadeja is in red-hot form ever since he made a remarkable comeback in the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Test series after an injury he sustained during Asia Cup 2022. Jadeja won the joint Player of the Series award with Ravichandran Ashwin for his brilliant all-round performance.

Meanwhile, Jadeja recently liked a controversial post on Twitter that talked about his pain of hearing the crowd’s ‘Dhoni-Dhoni’ chants whenever he comes to bat ahead of the CSK skipper MS Dhoni. One of the Twitter users tweeted and said that Jadeja feels bad when his own team’s fand doesn’t support him and waits for his wicket.

"Jaddu saying this with a smile but a lot of pain inside... Believe me, it's a trauma! Imagine your own team spectators not supporting you waiting for your wicket! Still criticizing you even after winning 3 men of the matches!"

However, talking about Jadeja’s performance so far in IPL 2023, the left-hander has played 12 matches and appeared in 11 innings but scored only 113 runs, however, his performance with the ball is tremendous as he has picked 16 wickets in the tournament so far. He was also named Player of the Match for his brilliant all-round performance in CSK’s last match which was against Delhi Capitals (DC). After the match, Jadeja talked about his performance and also opened up about the Dhoni chants he hears whenever he comes to bat.

“As a spinner, feels good when the ball is turning and holding. We practice here, we know what’s the ideal length and pace. The visiting team needs time to adapt. We are taking advantage of the home conditions. Everyone’s doing their job. We are doing a good job collectively. I keep hearing Mahi bhai's chants. If I bat higher, then the crowd will wait for me to get out. As long as the team wins, I am happy," he said when asked in the post-match presentation whether he would want to bat higher." Jadeja said.
