Star Kolkata Knight Riders' batter Rinku Singh made his international debut last night against Ireland. In his debut match, he didn't get a chance to bat, but his presence on the field felt energetic. However, ahead of his debut, Singh made his debut on a television show.

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan's Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) returned with a new season. In the first week's Friday Charity Show, the cast of the film Ghomer joined Big B on the show. During the game, the team of the film, i.e., Abhishek Bachchan, Saiyami Kher, and Director R Balki, won 3 lahks, 20 thousand rupees. The next question, worth INR 6 lakh, was about Rinku Singh.

The question was, "Which Kolkata Knight Riders batsman hit five sixes in a row in the last over of a match in the 2023 IPL?" There were four options too, i.e., Andre Russell, Nitish Rana, Rinku Singh, and Venkatesh Iyer, respectively. It's worth noting that Abhishek Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan are big fans of the Indian cricket team. Senior Bachchan never watches live matches due to superstition, while Junior Bachchan owns many teams in other sports.

Jasprit Bumrah hands his debut cap to Rinku Singh

It's worth noting that in an away game against Gujarat Titans in the recently concluded Indian Premier League 2023, Rinku smashed five back-to-back sixes. He took charge against Yash Dayal in the final over and scored 30 runs to win the game. He scored 48 runs off just 21 balls and led his team to an unexpected victory. He also performed well in other games, and selectors rewarded him by selecting him for the T20I team.

Team management also expressed their belief in him and fielded him in the first match. The left-hander received his maiden T20I cap from senior pacer and skipper Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah also handed his debut cap to pacer Prasidh Krishna, who made his comeback from injury after one and a half years.
