India's new team sponsor in both men's and women's cricket is going to be Dream11. In future international cricket matches, the Indian team will wear the logo of the fantasy sports app on the central portion of their jerseys.
Starting the 2019 home season, Byju's, the online educational platform, served as India's official squad sponsor. The rights were acquired by Byju's from Oppo, a manufacturer of smartphones. Byju's chose not to renew its deal with the Indian Cricket Board after roughly three and a half years of assisting the team. For the next four years, Dream11 will take the place of Byju's in the centre on the Indian team jersey, claimed journalist K Shriniwas Rao.
Adidas and Dream XI as sponsors!
Adidas additionally entered into a contract to represent the Indian team with the Indian Cricket Board a month back, which caused some fans to be perplexed by the revelation. They even introduced new uniforms for the Indian team. The journalist quickly clarified that the newest deal belongs to the team sponsor, not Adidas, which is the squad's kit/jersey sponsor.
The Indian Cricket Board has previously worked with the fantasy sports website Dream11. This platform had previously supported the Indian Premier League. The fantasy sports website took over as the IPL's title sponsor after Vivo elected to pause their title sponsorship agreement for a year.
A number of Indian cricketers have served as this platform's brand ambassadors. The fantasy cricket industry has expanded significantly, and many fans now use the opportunity to demonstrate their cricketing expertise. The ‘Khelo Dimaag Se’ campaign was one of the best and most liked advertisements by the fans when they were the title sponsor for cricket’s biggest franchise league tournament.
In addition to the Indian team, the fantasy sports website also supports cricket’s governing body and a number of regional competitions that are held both in India and abroad. India's forthcoming away series against the West Indies, which begins on July 12, is likely to feature their name on the new uniforms.
