Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards will be facing off on Sunday, March 19 at the O2 arena in London. This will be a trilogy UFC bout between both as the first Usman defeated Edwards and in the second time Edwards knocked out Usman with a breathtaking headshot kick and won the championship.

This will be Edwards’ first title defense in London which is his home crowd and it will boost his confidence for sure. Meanwhile, Usman said that he is the only guy who has given respect to Edwards but still he talked badly about him. He also said that he is a better MMA fighter than Edwards.

“I will deal with him March 18, I've never been disrespectful with Leon. If anything I've been the only guy that has given him respect all throughout his career. I'm not going to start now. He said a couple of things now that have offended me, but I'll talk to him about that on Saturday night.” Usman was quoted as saying by skysports.

"When I get in there and fight these guys, I'm not fighting their skills - I fight guys with better boxing, better kickboxing, maybe better wrestling credentials - but it doesn't matter, it's about how you mix it up. That's the beautiful thing about this sport, it's called mixed martial arts and I don't think there's anybody in the world that agrees that he's better at MMA than I am.”

The proof is in the pudding: Leon Edwards

However, Edwards also came with a befitting reply and said that the truth can’t be changed as he defeated him earlier and he needs to accept that and he became the champion after this. He also mentioned that this Sunday, he will be reminding Usman, who he is.

"You can think what you want to think. The proof is in the pudding. I'm the champ, we all know who the champ is. I knocked you out. That's who the champ is. It's a matter of me still remembering who I am, going in there, and being mindful of what has happened. But ultimately, reminding him who he is. Who he's less than." Edwards was quoted as saying by Sportskeeda.
