Team India is currently preparing for the World Cup. The World Cup is just two days away. The Men in Blue's second warm-up match has also been called off due to rain. India will enter the contest without playing a single warm-up match. Their first match against defending champions England was washed out.

Virat Kohli has been in sensational form in 2023. He is one of the highest-paid cricketers in the world. He has launched the Blue Rising Team. That is set to compete in the inaugural edition of the UIM E1 World Championship, a boat-racing tournament.

The former India skipper is known as a global icon. He will co-own the team with League Sports Co.’s CEO, Adi K Mishra. The LSC is a sports technology company that owns and runs sports teams, gaming businesses, and brands in the World Bowling League.

I am also looking forward to competing against some big names: Virat Kohli

Mishra said, "We are excited to partner with one of the best athletes of our generation and arguably one of the best batsmen in the history of cricket. It has also been a pleasure to work alongside Bunty Sajdeh, CEO of Cornerstone Sport & Entertainment, who has played a key role.

"And the firm has already brought insightful conversations with brands that share our combined values with the UIM E1 World Championship of sustainability and gender inclusion. We are keen to explore partnerships with the UIM E1 World Championship and some of the other team owners with the World Bowling League in order to elevate both sports."

Kohli also said "I am passionate about inspiring people to develop a competitive spirit and promoting awareness about sustainability issues. This is especially important to me now that I am starting a family. I am excited to support both our male and female pilots as they race for our team."

"I am also looking forward to competing against some big names such as Tom Brady, Rafa Nadal, Sergio Perez, Steve Aoki, and Didier Drogba. Our team is committed to using electric power for our races over water, and we are determined to win it all for The Blue Rising."
