Indian cricket team skipper Rohit Sharma is enjoying his time off with his family. The Indian team is on a 1-month break after an embarrassing World Test Championship (WTC) 2023 final loss against Australia on June 11. Rohit decided to spend some quality time with his family as he went on a vacation with his wife, Ritika Sajdeh and his daughter, Samaira.

Meanwhile, Rohit recently posted a picture on Instagram in which he and his wife can be seen very happy together on vacation. Rohit and his family were also spotted a few days back at Disney World in Paris. Rohit took a break much-needed break after a hectic cricket action during the Indian Premier League (IPL) and WTC final.

However, the Indian team will be back in action on July 12 as they are set to tour West Indies for a 2-match Test, 3-match ODI and 5-match T20I series. The squad are yet to be announced for all the formats. However, the series will conclude on August 13 after which they will take part in the Asia Cup 2023 which will be played in multiple locations across 2 countries.

Another opportunity for Rohit to prove his captaincy skills

Interestingly, there was a lot of criticism over Rohit’s leadership skills after the WTC loss. Many fans were expecting the Indian team could end their 10-year drought for a major trophy. The last time when the Men in Blue won a major tournament was in 2013 when former legendary Indian cricketer MS Dhoni led the team to win the Champions Trophy.

However, Rohit will have another opportunity to end the drought as the ODI World Cup is set to be played this year in October. The grand tournament will be entirely hosted by India for the first time. It will be a great opportunity for Rohit to use the home conditions and help the team to get their hands on the coveted trophy for the 3rd time after 1983 and 2011.
