Former India skipper Virat Kohli was approached by a fan for a selfie in a video that is going viral. However, he asked the fan to approach another time as he said that he will be at a certain place on August 23. The fan duly accepted. Meanwhile, the fans have given mixed reactions to the video collectively.

On the other hand, the former India skipper was recently ranked the third-highest-paid athlete on Instagram by Hooper. He was ranked behind the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who also lead the overall chart. The overall chart consists of Influencers, actors, musicians, athletes, etc.

Talking about Kohli, he was ranked in the top 20. Meanwhile, this led to a massive discussion around his income. The two-time World Champion has issued a statement saying that the discussions are just rumors and he is indebted to everything he got in life.

“While I am grateful and indebted to all that I’ve received in life, the news that has been making rounds about my social media earnings is not true," the Indian Cricketer wrote in a post on Twitter.

Virat Kohli to feature in Asia Cup 2023

The right-hander is currently on a break for the T20I series against the West Indies. Since the start of this year, Rohit Sharma and Virat have not been playing T20I cricket. Recently, the former said "You can't play everything and be ready for the World Cup. We decided this two years ago. Jadeja is also not playing T20. You did not ask about him? I understand about the focus... but Jadeja is also not playing," he added.

"It is a World Cup year; we want to keep everyone fresh; already we had so many injuries in the team that I am scared of injuries now. We had a discussion with the BCCI also that we need to look after the players well.

"Last year also we did the same thing. The T20 World Cup was there, so we didn't play one-day cricket. Now we are also doing the same, the ODI World Cup is there, so we are not playing T20s," Rohit said as quoted by India Today.
