After winning the first ODI against Australia, India came into the second game in Vishakhapatnam with raging confidence. However, it back-fired as India lost important early wickets in attempting to bat aggressively, explains India skipper Rohit Sharma after the game.
Rohit Sharma said, "We thought we could put pressure on Australia, and while trying to play aggressively, I lost my wicket". However, fans were quick to react to his statement, which did not make much sense to fans.
Australia won the game by 10 wickets
As for the match, Australia was challenged to chase a 118-run target and defeated the hosts by 10 wickets. Mitchell Marsh's unbeaten 66 runs off 36 balls, which included six fours and six sixes, helped Australia easily reach 121/0 in 11 overs. In contrast, Travis Head had an unbeaten performance, including 10 fours, helping score 51 runs off 30 balls.
In the first innings, India was bundled out for 117 runs in 26 overs because only four batters reached double figures. Star batsman Virat Kohli continued to score the most runs with 31 off 35, followed by Axar Patel, whose important run-a-ball 29 sent India above the 100-run threshold. Starc went on a spree against the Indian top order, taking the game's opening four wickets before they could score 50 runs.
The next ODI of the series will be played on March 22, Thursday as the two teams face each other in the series decider at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Australia will rise to the top in the ODI rankings if they win the current ODI series. Before this tour, the opponents fell to India 2-1 in the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series, with one Test concluding in a draw. Australia has now suffered three straight defeats in the Test series to India. The Global Test Championship final, which will take place at the Oval between June 7 and June 11, will pit the two sides against one another once more.
Here's how fans reacted to Rohit Sharma's explanation:

Never seen India getting all out below 130 under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. Such a downfall of Indian Cricket under Captain Rohit Sharma.

Rohit should realize his fitness is very poor. It is time he learns from youngsters and Virat how to keep himself physically fit.!
