Mahika Gaur the Dubai-raised 17-year-old left-arm seamer made her international debut for UAE, at the age of 12-year. But on Thursday after almost five years, she made her international debut for England's women's team. She became another cricketer to be a double-international player after being called up for England's white-ball series at home against Sri Lanka.

She had an impressive debut and took her first senior wicket for England. It was a big wicket, of Sri Lanka’s best player Chamari Athapaththu. Young Mahika is a big fan of the former Indian skipper MS Dhoni. Gaur was playing her 20th T20 international, but her first for England. Coincidentally, the best figure in her career is with the UAE.
