India and Australia are clashing against each other for the 2nd match of the four-match Test series at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Friday, February 17. The Men in Blue started the series with a convincing victory by an inning and 132 runs in the first Test in Nagpur. Australia won the toss and elected to bat first in the ongoing Test match.

Meanwhile, former Australia captain Steve Smith was dismissed for a two-ball duck by Ravichandran Ashwin. Smith came to bat after Marnus Labuschagne’s dismissal. Ashwin bowled a slider and it kept going with the angle. Smith was playing for the turn but it took the outside edge and wicketkeeper KS Bharat took a superb catch behind the wickets.

Earlier, Australia started well as opener David Warner and Usman Khawaja made a brilliant half-century partnership. However, Indian pacer Mohammed Shami bowled a brilliant delivery to get rid of Warner as his poor form continued and departed after scoring 15 runs.

Khawaja and Labuschagne then batted pretty well and It seemed that the entire first session would be named after Australia. However, just before lunch, Australia lost back-to-back wickets of Labuschagne and Smith in a single over. Both these players returned to the pavilion within just 3 balls. Both these batters were dismissed by off-spinner Ashwin. At one stage, Australia had lost only one wicket for 90 runs, but in no time they lost three wickets for the score 91.

Labuschagne had a great start in the Delhi Test but his innings ended on 18 runs off 25 balls. Smith got out on the very second ball and could not even open the account. Meanwhile, left-handed batter Khawaja brought up his 20th Test half-century after lunch on Day 1.

Another left-handed Australian batter, Travis Head, who was controversially left out of the first Test, joined Khawaja but departed soon after the lunch by Shami who, once again, got the first wicket of the session.

Here’s how fans reacted to Ashwin's brilliance with the ball:
