Athiya Shetty thundered with a big reply on Twitter in response to videos of her and her cricketer-husband KL Rahul’s alleged visit to a London strip club was doing the rounds on social media. The video shows KL having a ball with friends, while skimpily clad women are dancing on the tables in London. The cricketer, who is in England at present, underwent surgery for an injury he sustained during an IPL 2023 game on 1st May.
When the video came out, it went viral in a short time and there were a lot of reactions on the internet. People went after Rahul for just whiling away time. Rahul was in London as he was recuperating from an injury. When Athiya saw that things were going out of hand, she gave a big reply to the comments on social media via an Instagram story.
It is important to stand up for yourself - Athiya Shetty on the London incident
"I usually choose to be silent and not react, but sometimes it’s important to stand up for yourself. Rahul, I and our friends went out to a regular place, as one does. Stop taking things out of context and check your facts before reporting. Peace and love.". She wrote. KL Rahul could not play the full IPL season in 2023 after he sustained a hip-flexor injury.
"One of them has to speak up yrrr , the way athiya did, these losers aren’t stopping any time soon but the positive thing is many people are speaking on this so it’s a relief.” Another added, "Athiya feeling the need to justify her and her husband going out like normal human beings is horrible, being a known personality is so tiring." A twitter user stated.
Rahul was supposed to play for India in the Test Championship final. But after the injury, Ishan Kishan was named as his replacement. Another change that has happened to India's Test Championship squad is the addition of Yashasvi Jaiswal to the standbys in place of Ruturaj Gaikwad who is getting married. The Test Championship final will take place in England in June.

Rahul's decision to go to the pub shouldn't be seen as a big deal. It's simply a matter of personal choice, and people should be allowed to make their own decisions without it being treated as a serious issue.🤌🏻😭

Be strong @klrahul and @theathiyashetty , There is always someone who is never happy with what you're doing. Don't think about outside noises; just ignore them and live a happy life!! God bless you ❤️✨

Find a woman who will take you to temple and not strip clubs. Fun is important bt not at the cost of career.
