Despite not winning the IPL trophy in the last 15 years, Royal Challengers Bangalore have been one of the most loved cricket franchises around the world. Their fans don’t leave any chance to shower their support on their favourite team irrespective of their position in the tournament.
Now RCB have achieved another milestone as they become the only cricket franchise to get featured among the Top three Sports Franchise with the most social media engagements in the month of March 2023.
RCB come third on the list with the number of 168 Million in the previous month. The Madrid Football Club, Real Madrid comes second in the list with 189 Million, while FC Barcelona tops the chart with a huge difference with the number of 273 Million.
RCB comes on the third position on the list of IPL teams with the most followers on Social Media. RCB has 26.66 million followers across the social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook and are only behind Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings in terms of followers. Five-time Champions MI come second in the list with 32.32 million followers across social media platforms. While the four-time champion CSK top the chart with 33.84 million across all three platforms.
RCB having ups and downs in IPL 2023
Currently, RCB are playing in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League. They have won 4 out of eight matches played so far in IPL 2023. RCB started of their season well with a convincing victory by 8 wickets over MI. After that, they went on to lose back-to-back games against Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants respectively. RCB won and lost in the next two matches against Delhi Capitals and CSK respectively. After that, they won back-to-back games against Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals. However, they couldn’t continue their winning momentum as they lost against KKR.
