The news agency also said that it is safe to say as of now that Pakistan Cricket Board will boycott the Aisa Cup if it is transferred to Sri Lanka. Pakistan is trying to convince BCB and ACB over the issue

Pakistan Cricket Board chief Najam Sethi is set to meet senior officials of the Asian Cricket Council to resolve the issue. The PCB is worried that if the Asia Cup is postponed, a similar problem could develop when the Champions Trophy is hosted in 2025, and the Apex Cricket Council would decide to move the event if India doesn't take part.

The Champions Trophy games for the Indian cricket team will therefore be played in Bangladesh on the suggested paradigm. Officials from Pakistan and India are currently in a tense situation. However, it has been reported in Pakistan's local media that PCB is trying to convince Bangladesh Cricket Board and Afghanistan Cricket Board to support the hybrid model.
