The Legends League Cricket (LLC) 2023 second season is at the business end with the knockout rounds having already begun. During the eliminator game between India Gujarat Giants and India Capitals on Wednesday night in Surat, a verbal spat happened between former India skipper Gautam Gambhir and S Sreesanth.

The two formers were involved in a long exchange of words during the game and the umpires came in between and had to move them apart to resume the game.  In an over Gauti smashed the pacer for a six and a four. A video has been made by a fan and as caught in the video Sreesanth might passed a few words to Gambhir after getting smashed. In return, Gauti gave a good reply to the pacer.

Sreesanth throws light on the incident after the game

After the match, Sreesanth stated, "I just wanted to clear some air about what happened with Mr fighter, who fights with all his colleagues for no reason whatsoever. He does not even respect his own senior players including Viru bhai (Virender Sehwag) and a lot of people. That is exactly what happened. Without any provocation, he kept on calling me something which is very rude. It should have been never said by Mr Gautam Gambhir." 

"So, I just want to tell you all that I am not at all at fault. I just wanted to clear the air straight away. Sooner or later you’ll get to know what Gauti has done. The words which he used and the things he said on a cricket field live are not acceptable. He said things which he should not have said, and I just want all of you to know that I will surely let you all know what he said. What’s the point of representing people if you don’t respect colleagues?"
