Former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir had a row with his former Indian teammate, Sreesanth during the Legends League Cricket 2023. During the second qualifier between India Capitals and Gujarat Giants, both had a verbal fight during the early stage of the game. After the match, the right-arm pacer accused Gambhir of calling him a fixer.

"I have not used a single bad word or used a single abusive word to him. I only said, 'What are you saying? What are you saying?' In fact, I kept laughing in a sarcastic way because he kept calling me 'Fixer, fixer, you are a fixer, F*** off fixer'. This is the language that was used. Even when the umpires were trying to control him, he kept on calling me fixer," Sreesanth said in an Instagram post.

However, his accusations landed him in trouble and the tournament's commissioner issued a show cause to him. The Kerala player was said to have breached the code of conduct laid for the participants of the tournament. Meanwhile, the tournament is now over with Harbhajan Singh-led Manipal Tigers lifting their maiden title in the second season.

In a different interaction, Gambhir was asked about the same and he decided not to give out any details.

“Dekhiye pehli baat toh mere paas aisaa kuch hai nahi iss cheez mein bolne ke liye. (See, I don’t have anything to say about this thing)," Gambhir told the reporter.

On the other hand, the two-time World Cup winner said that he is attending an event to spot the cricketers for the future.

“Main yaha par ek nek maqsad se aaya hu, unn yuva khiladiyon ko dekhne aaya hu, unn yuva khiladiyo ko ek platform dene aaya hu ke jo wo apna, apne parivar ka, apne state ka, apne desh ka naam imaandaari se roshan kar sakey, wo mere liye bahut jaroori hai (I have come here for a noble cause, to see young players, to give those young players the platform to make themselves, their family, their state, and their nation proud in an honest manner, that’s very important for me),” said Gautam Gambhir.
