In the ongoing 12th game of the Emerging Asia Cup 2023, India and Pakistan A sides are locking horns in Colombo. In the game, the Green Brigade won the toss and elected to bat first. However, they had a poor start as Saim Ayub (0) bagged an 11-ball duck in the fourth over. In the same over, Omair Bin Yousuf (0) got out to Rajvardhan Hangargekar.

Despite losing two wickets for nine runs, Sahibzada Farhan continued to play at a strike rate of close to 100. He was batting on 35 off 36 balls including eight fours before he got out to part-timer Riyan Parag. The former has played one T20I for his national side. On the other hand, Parag played for the U19 team before playing for India A.

Meanwhile, the fans are trolling Farhan for getting out to a part-timer.

India dominating the ongoing game

Meanwhile, talking about the game, the Men In Blue have been bowling well in the game. After losing Sahibzada Farhan, the likes of Haseebullah and Kamran Ghulam played slowly and tried to build a partnership. However, the latter, after scoring 15 off 31 balls, was stumped by Dhruv Jurel off left-arm spinner Manav Suthar.

Haseebhullah, after getting 27 off 55 balls was cleaned up by Suthan. Wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Haris (14) became the third wicket of the left-armer and the team was reduced to 95/6. At the time of writing, former Pakistan U19 skipper Qasim Akram and Mubasir Khan are batting at the crease. The team has amassed 139/6 in 36.4 overs.

Ahead of the game, both teams are coming off massive wins and carrying high net run rates. India brushed aside the likes of Nepal and the UAE. Pakistan thrashed the same set of teams. These things make the ongoing game interesting to watch. Not to forget, the likes of Saim Ayub, Sahibzada Farhan, Mohammad Haris, Mohammad Wasim, and Shahnawaz Dahani have played for Pakistan’s senior side. On the other hand, none of the India A player have played for the senior side.
