UFC middleweight contender Israel Adesanya is all set for his fight against the champion Alex Pereira in the main event of UFC 287 on April 9. Adesanya talked about his preparation for the fight and said that his mindset his completely different for the fight.
“I’m hunting, and I mean that in every sense of the word,” Adesanya said on his YouTube channel (h/t MMA Junkie). “The mindset is different, definitely. Even [coach] Eugene [Bareman] and I are on the same page. The mindset is definitely different.
“I like it because it puts it all on me, and it’s kind of poetic in a way,” he concluded. “One life: Roll the dice. This is my last shot, and I’m going to give it all I’ve got in every sense of the word.”
Meanwhile, his other rival Paula Costa recently took a huge dig on Adesanaya as he tweeted a meme on his Twitter account claiming the ‘The Styleblender’ will miss out UFC 287. However, Adesanya retweet the post and gave a befitting reply to him.

Adesanya also fired back at Pereira for mocking his toys and said “That was weird, bro, You know what’s weird, though? For me, it’s like, I don’t really care. But, one reaction he gave, it panned to like some stuffed animals where he goes, ‘Ah’, and for me I’m like, ‘Who the f—k do you think you are?’ Adesanya said on his YouTube channel.
“Like I don’t look at him and go, ‘Why you wearing that f— king face paint and crying on the ground like you’re a tiger?’” Adesanya continued. “I don’t care, that’s what you want to do, that’s what you do. If that gives you power, that gives you power. But, the fact that he looks at me and the way I live my life? I wasn’t even doing nothing about him. I’m living my life and it upsets him. That’s very telling, that speaks a lot about him than it does about me,” he said. “That was him showing his hand already, and I like that. I like that. This is some The Last Dance s—. I like holding onto things like that. This I like. I’ll note that. He’ll find out later on.”
