MS Dhoni, the current captain of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and former captain of India, recently posed for a few photos in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The illustrious cricketer may be seen in the photos wearing flashy clothing and a white beard.

Recently, Dhoni led CSK to a triumph in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 which tied a record. Chennai became the second franchise after Mumbai Indians (MI) to win the IPL trophy five times with a stunning five-wicket victory over Gujarat Titans (GT) using the DLS technique in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The CSK captain's white beard appearance had gained popularity before the IPL 2023 as well. Nevertheless, he got rid of it throughout the competition and appeared in a considerably younger avatar.

The video paid homage to the icon and spread rumours that he will leave the IPL. Since the T20 league's preseason, there have been rumours about Dhoni's future in the IPL.

The former Indian captain discussed his plans for retirement after guiding CSK to victory in the IPL 2023 and made the following remarks: "Looking for an answer? Circumstantially if you see, this is the best time to announce my retirement. But the amount of love and affection I have been shown wherever I have been this year, the easy thing would be for me to say "Thank you very much", but the tough thing for me is to work hard for another 9 months and come back and play at least 1 more season of IPL.

“A lot depends on the body, I have 6-7 months to decide. It will be more like a gift from my side, it's not easy for me but that's a gift. The way they've shown their love and affection, I think that's something I need to do for them," he said.
