Team India had a 254-run lead and the opportunity to enforce the follow-on. However, they decided to bat once more. India declared after scoring 258 runs for two wickets in their second innings. Shubman Gill scored his first Test century (110 runs off 152 balls), while Pujara ended his century drought with 102* off 130 balls.
India set a target of 513 runs for the home team. Bangladesh, on the other hand, fought valiantly. Team India easily won the match, bowling them out for 324 runs in 113.2 overs. The batters showed great grit to start with. Najmul Hossain Shanto (67 runs) and Zakir Hasan put on a great partnership of 124 runs, with the latter completing his century. Shakib Al Hasan (84) also played a good knock, but day five saw early wickets to restrict Bangladesh to a score of 324 runs.

It’s so disappointing that last decade, we couldn’t prepare players who can fill the shoes of @TamimOfficial28, @mushfiqur15, @Sah75official, @Mahmudullah30 and Masrafee. Sohan is no where near to fill Mushy’s place so is Yasir Rabbi to fill Mahmudullah’s place. #INDvBAN
