Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has since been allowed to play again after being banned last year, and Shubham "Mayavi" Chawla has returned to Global Esports (GE), this time as a coach. Interestingly, Mayavi parted ways with GE in August 2022 and joined Team Solo Mid (TSM), however, the team's operations in India were put on hold as a result. It will be interesting to watch how he will support the team as he gets back in touch with GE.
Meanwhile, Mayavi recently went live on Instagram and said that four players were now going through trials for the Global Esports team. He disclosed that the team's line-up would soon be decided as the tryout round was coming to an end. Nevertheless, he stated that he still had two players to assess and urged supporters to eagerly await a formal statement from Global Esports. Following the squad release, Mayavi teased supporters with the promise of a huge reveal regarding the team's BGMI lineup.
To clear up any misunderstandings about Harmandeep "Mavi" Singh's compatibility, Mayavi also made it clear that he would act as the squad's In-Game Leader (IGL). Mayavi added that he will assume the combined responsibilities of leading and coaching the team to ensure its success.
Global Esports to make new gaming house
The return of Mayavi to Global Esports represents a big career change. After leaving the company, Mayavi briefly rejoined TSM India. TSM India, however, decided to halt operations due to the game's hazy future. Global Esports stated a strong desire to rebuild its position in the BGMI title with the widely anticipated return of the game.
Mayavi provided details on the team's demanding boot camp, which has been inspiring a lot of enthusiasm among supporters. While he was unable to provide specifics at this time, Mayavi reassured fans that everyone would appreciate the upcoming boot camp facility. It's interesting to note that Global Esports earlier stated the company was actively looking for a boot camp in Mumbai.
