On Saturday, the Delhi Capitals emerged victorious against Royal Challengers Bangalore in an evenly contested game at the Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium. Phil Salt and Mitchell Marsh paved the way for Delhi Capitals’ victory over the Bengaluru-based outfit with their swashbuckling innings.

Batting first at the Arun Jaitley Cricket Ground, Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 181 for the loss of four wickets in their 20 overs. Virat Kohli and Mahipal Lomror shone for their side with half-centuries. However, the total on the board was not enough as Phil Salt’s blitzkrieg caught the opposition by surprise.

Phil Salt was ruthless throughout his innings against Royal Challengers Bangalore. His shots sounded sweet and were going over the fence because of his power and timing. He scored 87 from 45 deliveries before getting dismissed by Karn Sharma in the fag end of the chase. Apart from the batting entertainment, there was again a verbal exchange between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals’ players. This event happened in the fifth over of the game.

Phil Salt took Mohammed Siraj to the cleaners in the first two balls of the fifth over and conceded four runs on the third delivery. He tried to control the run flow by bowling a bouncer on the fourth ball, but it was declared wide by the umpire. The fast bowler was unhappy and could not control his emotions. He let his emotions cut loose against the English wicketkeeper-batsman by engaging in a verbal spat. Faf du Plessis and David Warner doused the situation before matters escalated.

However, the players reconciled after Delhi Capitals emerged victorious in the game. Mohammed Siraj and Phil Salt hugged each other during the handshake post Delhi’s seven-wicket victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore.
