The first match of the two-match Test series between India and Bangladesh started on 14 December. On the first day, India won the toss and decided to bat. But India suffered early setbacks, with star batters like Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli getting out cheaply. However, India bounced back on the back of brilliant innings from Shreyas Iyer and Cheteshwar Pujara. At the end of the first day's play, India's score was 278/6.

India's innings came to an end on the second day. However, Ravichandran Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav built an amazing partnership of 92 runs before being all out. Both players were dismissed after scoring 58 runs and 40 runs respectively. The Indian team was all out after scoring 404 runs in 133.5 overs.

Starting their innings of the first Test match, the Bangladesh team started getting major setbacks from the very first ball. Mohammed Siraj dismissed Najmul Hussain Shanto on the very first ball of the innings. After this big blow, as soon as the Bangladesh team was trying to recover, Umesh Yadav attacked from the other side and made Yasir Ali his victim.

What happened between Mohammed Siraj and Liton Das?

After the fall of two wickets, the hope of the Bangladesh team rested on Liton Das. But that hope was soon shattered. In fact, while batting, Litton Das and Mohammed Siraj clashed with each other and Das had to bear the brunt of Siraj's provocation by losing his wicket.

Let us tell you that, Siraj threw the ball and Liton Das defended that ball. But Siraj went and said something to him. Liton Das also pretended to retaliate that he could not hear anything. The fight between the two was about to increase that the umpire had to intervene.

But the biggest twist came when Siraj dismissed Liton Das on the very next ball. Both Siraj and Virat Kohli celebrated in different ways as soon as Das's wicket fell. Whereas, Kohli was seen making fun of Das.
