The five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) clashed against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 63rd match of the Indian Premier League 2023 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Tuesday, May 16. LSG produced a brilliant bowling performance to defeat MI by 5 runs and have gained important 2 points.

Meanwhile, a video is getting viral on social media in which Lucknow’s crowd can be heard chanting Virat Kohli’s name while LSG’s speedster Naveen-ul-Haq is fielding near the boundary rope. Naveen reacted to the chants and signaled the crowd to chant more, however, it is unknown whether he did this because of frustration or he actually wanted the crowd to chant more.

Will RCB and LSG clash again in the playoffs?

Interestingly, the crowd was chanting Kohli’s name during Naveen’s spell in the powerplay where he conceded 16 runs in 2 overs. Naveen was back in action after almost a two-week gap as he was last seen on the cricket field against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on May 1 where he was involved in a heated argument with former RCB captain Virat Kohli. However, he was in the squad against LSG clash against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) but the match was washed out due to rain.

However, he finally made a comeback against MI and was also bowling decently until the 19th over where he leaked 19 runs at the crucial stage but he escaped the criticism and trolls because of Mohsin Khan’s brilliant last over where he defended 11 runs and helped the team to win the match by 5 runs.

Naveen and Kohli continued the dispute on social media with cheeky Instagram stories about each other. However, the fans are expecting LSG and RCB to clash one more time as the brand-new rivalry is being liked by the fans a lot. But for that, both teams have to qualify for the playoffs and it is still possible as LSG need just 1 match and RCB need 2 matches to win in order to qualify for the playoffs.
