Ace India spinner Harbhajan Singh has been phenomenal throughout his cricketing career. Currently, Bhajji is representing Punjab in the upper house of the Indian parliament and working for the public. Recently, Harbhajan has reached out to flood victims in Punjab. The former Indian cricketer was involved in a flood relief mission in Jalandhar, and photos and videos of the same quickly became popular on social media.
In one of the videos, Harbhajan can be seen assisting with the unloading of sandbags from a truck. He was accompanied by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Balbir Singh Seechewal. As soon as the video went viral on social media, fans praised Bhajji for working for the people and the welfare of society. It's worth noting that Harbhajan is a Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab.
Meanwhile, Harbhajan has been vocal about Indian cricket and has had a perspective on every single topic. Recently, he spoke about the role of Virat Kohli in the upcoming ODI World Cup. He said that Kohli will play a crucial role in India's campaign in the marquee tournament. Bhajji also said that players like Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, and others need to take over the responsibilities from Kohli and let him play freely.
Virat will play a huge role: Harbhajan Singh
Speaking about the World Cup, Harbhajan said, "He will have a huge role in the World Cup. He is the kind of figure Sachin Tendulkar was in 2011. The team should actually not put so much pressure on him but rather take some pressure away from him by making responsible decisions about how they will do the job. If the other guys do that job, I will say, Let Virat Kohli play his own game. When he plays his own game, the guy is unstoppable. He is a champion player, there is no doubt about it."
"People say he is a chase master, but I say whether you get him to chase or bat first, batting-wise, he is probably the best. No one can be compared to him. But set him slightly free in big matches. Don't tell him that if Virat gets out, the match will be over. That should not happen. If Virat gets out, no issue; we will manage. We have Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, and Shubman Gill; they are all mighty players. So I hope the pressure on him is slightly reduced and he can play his game," he further added.
