Kuldeep has been backed by the team India and Rohit Sharma. The spinner picked up 15 wickets in the tournament alongside Ravindra Jadeja he has performed exceptionally well. The left-arm pacer has been key in picking with the new ball as well.

The batter has performed in the mega event with an outstanding average of 66.25, scoring 530 runs with 2 hundred and 3 half-centuries. He became the first Indian No.4 batter to score more than 500 runs. The batter since his return from injury has answered all the critics.

Rachin Ravindra has been the competition's best young player. So far, he has 578 runs in nine matches. The left-handed batter has a 64.22 batting average and a strike rate of 106.44. The opener has three centuries and two half-centuries to his credit. Rachin became the first New Zealand batter to score 300 runs in a single competition. He was a big miss in the best XI of the tournament. He has been the star for the Kiwis in the mega event despite the absence of Kane Williamson for the majority of the tournament, he filled in the big shoes during his absence.
