Bangladesh has been in poor form in the ODI World Cup 2023. They are currently at the bottom of the table with only one win. They lost against the Netherlands on Saturday at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. After the loss against the Dutch, the Bangladeshi fans were brutal on themselves. After the game, a fan was spotted beating himself up with a shoe at the Eden Gardens.
The fan can be seen slapping his face and expressing his frustration after a dismal show by the Bangladesh players. He was also caught speaking harsh language about the skipper Shakib Al Hasan. This is their worst performance in the mega event.
Their fans travelled some short distance to cheer for their team but went back disappointed after their batting collapsed against the Men in Orange. While chasing a target of 230 runs the Bangla Tigers batter were never looked in controlled and lost wickets at regular intervals. For Scott Edwards's side this is their second win they shocked South Africa to register their first win in the tournament.

Netherlands shocks Bangladesh
Netherlands openers were back in the pavilion in just three overs. They were in trouble with 63-4, but skipper Edwards again stepped up for his side and played a knock of 68 runs and got some support from the lower order with Sybrand Engelbrecht also making a decent contribution of 35 runs as the team posted 229 in 50 overs.
While chasing the target Shakib's side never looked in control, with Paul van Meekeren bowled sensationally. Mehidy Hasan Miraz was their highest run-scorer with 35 runs other batters got the start but could not score past 20 with the middle order collapsing as their skipper Shakib scored only five runs. With some runs from the lower order they were being able to score past 100 and were bundled out for 142 runs. They will next face Pakistan at the same venue and would like to change things around and win against Babar Azam's side.
