The entire ODI World Cup 2023 has been a forgettable affair for the Pakistani cricket team. After losing the toss to England in their final the exit from the tournament for the 1992 World Cup winners was confirmed.  One of the biggest let-downs for the Pakistani team and its fans is the form of their star pace bowler Haris Rauf.

The 30-year-old will look back at the ODI World Cup 2023 with regret after conceding 500 runs during the tournament. Eagle-eyed social media users wasted no time in mocking Haris Rauf with some brutal taunts.

Babar Azam had a smile on his face despite losing the toss which saw England bat first. Speaking at the toss the Pakistani skipper revealed he had hoped to bat first but the call of the coin wasn’t in his hands.

Fans take to social media to mock Haris Rauf –

30-year-old Pakistani pacer Haris Rauf was mercilessly trolled and mocked by fans on social media. The reason behind this was that Haris Rauf had conceded 500 runs for a bowler during the ODI World Cup 2023 tournament.

It was widely believed in the Pakistani media and cricket circles that Haris Rauf and Shaheen Shah Afridi could do wonders during the tournament in India. On Saturday during his three-over spell, Haris Rauf was hit for 31 runs by the English openers.

There will be lots of questions asked of the Pakistani team after their disappointing ODI World Cup 2023 tournament. After winning their first two games Babar Azam and his team lost the next four games. The biggest loss came to India when they lost the game by 7 wickets in Ahmedabad.

This was followed by another loss this time to Afghanistan who made the 283-run target in Chennai look pedestrian. Hasmatullah Shahidi and his team won the game by 8 wickets to spark massive celebrations not just in Afghanistan but also in India. Pakistan recouped to win two games in a row but New Zealand’s win over Sri Lanka had knocked them out of the Semi-Final spots.
