The much-awaited ODI World Cup 2023 clash between India and Pakistan will be played on October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. The marquee clash will see some of the great cricketers fighting on the field for their nation. Around 11,000 people from various agencies including Gujarat Police, NSG, RAF, and home guards among others will be deployed in Ahmedabad for the high-voltage clash. The game will begin with a grand musical ceremony and the golden ticket holders will be present to watch the game.

There would be a light show and then dance performances. And high-security levels to be put in place for the marquee match. Ahmedabad has never witnessed any kind of violence during cricket matches played in the city in the past 20 years. But security forces will be deployed in several sensitive areas as a precautionary measure ahead of the match. The Bollywood stars event will start at around 12:40 PM on the day and will end by 1:10 PM.

Arijit Singh the renowned singer will be performing before the game. He has previously performed in the opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, where Gujarat Titans met Chennai Super Kings, at Ahmedabad. The other performer is yet to be confirmed but he or she would be a star from Bollywood as well. 

Star struck in India vs Pakistan 

The Indian Cricket Board handed out golden tickets to Sachin Tendulkar, Rajnikanth, and Amitabh Bachchan before the start of the tournament. It is done to honour India’s greatest personalities. This ticket grants its holders the opportunity to watch all Cricket World Cup matches live from the stadium. Golden Tickets will not only have the privilege to witness all World Cup matches from ground zero but will also be treated to VIP services.  

There will be approximately around 25 Pakistani media outlets who will be present in the stadium. They have approved their proposal and arrangements have been made for them so that they do not have any problem. Ahead of the marquee match, India will face Afghanistan on Wednesday at the Arun Jaitely Stadium, New Delhi.
