India beat Bangladesh by seven wickets, on Thursday, at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune. They are currently at the top of the table. Najimul Hasan Shanto was the captain against India as their regular skipper Shakib Al Hasan missed the match due to an injury. Shanto won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 256/8 in 50 overs. Openers Tanzid Hasan and Litton Das both scored half-centuries.

The batters put up a 93-run stand before the former was removed by Kuldeep Yadav. After they crumbled a bit they lost three quick wickets in just three wickets in 44 runs. But from there, sensible innings from veteran batters Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah made sure they got a defendable score for their bowlers. The pitch was batting heaven till the Indian bowlers came back and restricted them from scoring 270-300 runs.

Batting first the Bangla Tigers scored 256/8 in 50 overs. Both the openers Tanzid Hasan and Litton Das scored half-centuries. They gave the underdogs a brilliant start to the innings. They built a 93 runs partnership before Kuldeep picked the wicket of Tanzid who went back to the pavilion after scoring 51 runs off 43 deliveries. Rohit brought on Mohammed Siraj and he gave the breakthrough as skipper Shanto was back in the dugout with wicketkeeper KL Rahul taking a brilliant catch diving to his left. From 93/1, they collapsed to 137/4. With runs from Mushfiq who scored 38 runs and at the end Mahmudullah 46 off 36 made sure they went past 250. 

In reply, India openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill gave them the best start and stitched a partnership of 88 runs, before the skipper was dismissed after scoring 48 runs. Gill scored another fifty and was looking solid with Kohli. The former departed after scoring 53 runs. Iyer went back quickly playing a loose shot against Mehidy Hasan Miraz.

Kohli and Rahul were unbeaten till the end as the former scored 103 runs, scoring his 48th ODI century as he surpassed Sachin Tendulkar's 47 ODI century record and made sure India was home easily. Rahul scored 34 runs off 34 deliveries. As they chased 257 runs with more than 8 overs left.
