Opener Quinton de Kock who has been in sensational form in the tournament has again scored his fourth century in the mega event with all four of them coming in this edition of the tournament. He reached his century with a six.

He became the first South African batter to score four hundred in World Cup history. De Kock surpassed the greatest all-rounder Jacques Kallis's most runs in a single tournament edition. The wicket-keeper joined the former Sri Lanka skipper Kumara Sangakkara with that ton as the great batter scored 4 hundreds in the 2015 edition. The Southpaw has the chance to tie and break the record of Indian skipper Rohit Sharma who had five hundreds in the 2019 edition.

This is the highest score by the wicket-keeper batter against the Kiwis in the ODIs. He reached his ton in 103 balls and hit 8 fours and 3 sixes. Kiwis have the upper hand in the World Cup against the Proteas they have won it six times out of the 8 matches they have played in the mega event.
