Australia vs New Zealand in the ODI World Cup 2023 is currently underway at the HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala. Australia has posted a mammoth target of 389 runs against the Black Caps. The Kiwis have a good chance to win the match as youngster Rachin Ravindra who has been in sensational form has scored another century in the mega event. This is his second hundred in the World Cup.

The 23-year-old joined Glenn Turner, Martin Guptill, and Kane Williamson as the fourth New Zealand batter to score two hundred in a World Cup. Rachin reached his century with a six hitting it toward the deep midwicket region. He made a brilliant debut in the World Cup on October 5th, 2023, against reigning champions England in Ahmedabad. He scored a century in the first match as well and gave the Kiwis a good nine-wicket win.

Rachin has been in good touch in India as he has scored two half-centuries against the Netherlands and India respectively. He has secured his No.3 position in the squad and has been quite exceptional in the tournament so far. He was dismissed by Pat Cummins for 116 runs in 89 balls hitting 9 fours and 5 sixes.

Australian openers demolish the Kiwis

The Australian openers David Warner and Travis Head gave the Aussies a fiery start as they scored a hundred-run partnership in just 8.5 overs. Warner and Head built the 175-run partnership before the former was dismissed on 81 runs and Head scored 109 runs on his comeback in the squad, this was his first hundred in the World Cup as well. Fiery innings from Glenn Maxwell and skipper Pat Cummins made sure they went past 350 plus score. Maxwell scored 41 runs off 24 balls and the latter scored 37 off 14 deliveries.

This is Australia's third consecutive 350-plus score in the mega event. Kiwis are currently in the chase but only three wickets are left and Jimmy Neesham is there in the crease with 58 runs required of 31 balls.
