They have also made history after securing their place for their first-ever Champions Trophy in 2025.
Afghanistan won the toss and chose to bat first. The opener Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmanullah Gurbaz started off well. But the latter was the first one to be dismissed as Keshav Maharaj's dream World Cup run continues. He bowled really well at the Narendra Modi Stadium, on Friday. They kept on losing wickets after that and were struggling at one stage 160/7.
Azmatullah Omarzarai scored a brilliant half-century and led his team to a go past 200 runs. Gerald Coetzee was the pick of the bowlers for his side as the pacer has performed brilliantly in the tournament so far. Lungi Ngidi underperformed in the game.
