Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya is likely to be fit to play for India by the semifinal of the ODI World Cup 2023. The Indian All-rounder injured himself during the game against Bangladesh in Pune. Pandya had attempted to stop the ball on his follow-through after delivering the ball on his run-up. As he attempted to stop the ball by his leg, he twisted his ankle and started limping.

The injury looked serious as Hardik could not even get up from his position without support. Hardik was ruled out of the remainder of the game. The incomplete deliveries in the over were bowled out by Virat Kohli. The Indian All-rounder was taken to scans and the reports suggested that Hardik could not play the game against New Zealand.

The earlier reports ruled Hardik out of the game against New Zealand but suggested a quick recovery of Hardik. But later on, it was revealed that Hardik might take a bit longer to recover. Now, Hardik has missed the game against England as well. He is most likely to miss the games against Sri Lanka and South Africa as well. It is unfortunate for India and it looks in the faces of the Indian supporters.

Hardik Pandya to be fit before the semifinal of ODI World Cup 2023

However, with the winning streak India is in, they would not mind letting Hardik recover fully so that he could return well right before the big games. It is to be seen if Hardik would be fit for the game against the Netherlands in Bengaluru. But the reports suggest that Hardik is likely to be fit just before the semifinal.

The reports suggest that Pandya has been recovering well and might soon be able to play. But to be able to completely deliver his skills might require a bit of extra time. Hence, the management has not been rushing Hardik towards a quick recovery, but is rather letting him the time to recover fully so that he can take part in the important matches in the rest of the tournament.
