Former India cricketer Dinesh Karthik has found time to make a comment on a snake stopping a Lanka Premier League game. Apparently, in the ongoing second game of the tournament between Galle Titans and Dambulla Aura, the game was delayed by the intrusion of a snake. The incident happened during the second innings of the game. The images of the incident went viral and got the attention of Karthik.
He has been busy in the commentary stint in the ongoing Ashes 2023. The wicketkeeper batter has been working as a commentator in the ongoing fifth game of the Ashes 2023.

Dinesh Karthik jokingly becomes England's honorary citizen
The Tamil Nadu player 'became an honorary citizen of England' on Day 4 of the fifth Test. At the time, Australia was 126/0 chasing 384 runs to win. Apparently, the two-time World Champion mentioned a 2005 Ashes Test match. In that game, Australia were chasing 547 runs to win and were 212/2 at one stage.
Everything was going well when Ricky Ponting got run out who is also commentating in the ongoing game.
“The two Australian commentators here going gaga over how well Australia are going. Here is a moment though, that happened a few Ashes ago. Ricky Ponting and Michael Hussey had put on a partnership of 127 before this happened. What happened after that, I think it is best Ricky explains. They lost the Test and the Ashes post that,” said Karthik during his commentary stint for Sky Sports followed by a burst of laughter in the commentary box.
In reply, Mark Taylor said that Karthik has now become an honorary citizen of England. Apart from this, Ponting added that Karthik has ensured his another contract with the broadcaster.
“Gee have a bit of that, there you go. Dinesh Karthik’s become an honorary Englishman overnight, hasn’t he?” said Taylor.
“Just making sure he has a contract next year, isn’t he? Locking himself in the Sky box. Good work DK,” Ponting added.
