Former India captain Virat Kohli is all set to play in the much-awaited Test Championship final match against Australia which will take place between June 7 to 11. Kohli, who often remains in the headlines for his on-field aggressive behaviour, has once again earned a lot of attention but this time it is from outside the field.

Popular British survival expert, Bear Grylls is in talks with Kohli to bring him in his famous wildlife adventure show called ‘Man vs Wild’. Grylls has already invited multiple Indian celebrities and they also joined him in the past. With Kohli, Grylls has also approached Bollywood and Hollywood actress Priyanka Chopra.

“I am keeping my fingers crossed. A lot of happening. We are working on the plan right now. We have not confirmed anything yet, but things are moving in the right direction. Priyanka is the number one (celebrity) for our next show along with Virat Kohli. Both of them are such inspirational figures, who are loved around the world. So, getting to hear their stories and getting to know their journey and their life would be such a privilege for me and everyone.” Grylls was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

I first travelled to India when I was 18: Bear Grylls

Grylls has already done some of his episodes with many Indian celebrities like PM Narendra Modi, and actors Akshay Kumar, Rajinikanth, and Ranveer Singh, which were liked by the Indian audience a lot. Meanwhile, in War Zone: Bear Grylls Meets President Zelenskyy, he confessed that India has been incredibly close to his heart.

Grylls said, “I first travelled to India when I was 18 when I got my first view of Mount Everest. That opened the door to so much more in my life. And I’ll always be grateful to India for that. So, I love to return and do more shows there. Wherever I go in the country, I feel warmth and love. It is hard to explain but I feel an incredible connection with India, whether I am with PM Modi, with Ranveer or just meeting people of the country. It’s so beautiful.”
