Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) suffered a heartbreaking loss against Bayern Munich and got knocked out of the UEFA Champions League at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, March 15. However, that was not the only shocking news as there are some reports suggesting that one of the footballers from PSG was drunk in the morning during a training session ahead of their clash against Bayern.

PSG’s campaign always remains in controversial headlines as the club was battling with player disunity earlier. And now, a journalist named Romain Molina claimed that a PSG player, who was drunk, got selected for the crucial knockout game by the club’s manager Christophe Galtier.

“A player who was a starter at the Allianz Arena was drunk on Monday morning when he left the club at 6 am, two days before the match," Molina claimed in his video.

Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann revealed after the match that made a plan to shut down Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe and they successfully executed their plan as their defenders didn’t let them have many strikes which eventually stopped the PSG strikers to score a goal.

“In the first game, we didn't do what we had spoken about before very well. There was too much space. We defended better in the second half and were dangerous on the ball. In the end, we deserved to win." Nagelsmann told broadcaster DAZN.

Meanwhile, Manuel Neuer, who was suffering from an injury, got replaced by Swiss goalkeeper Yann Sommer and paid tribute to Matthijs de Ligt as he said that he will be rewarding the defender with lots of Swiss chocolates.

“I think we defended very well and, in the second half, were better at finding the space between the lines," Sommer said.

It is reported that Mbappe warned his teammates to be fit and get an ample amount of rest ahead of their crucial clash in the second leg against Bayern. However, some reports are suggesting that the warning was pointed towards Neymar who was spotted at a poker tournament. But, the French star footballer made it clear that he was not talking about the Brazilian star.
