India and Australia will compete in the Test Championship's final game in London. However, ahead of the match, Australia suffered a significant setback as Josh Hazlewood, the team's fast bowler is ruled out of the mega contest. He is having issues due to the injury, which was informed and posted on the apex cricket body's official website. Hazlewood has been replaced on the Australian team by Michael Neser. Neser has represented Australia in two Tests and two ODIs.
Hazlewood sustained an injury during the recently concluded Indian Premier League 2023. He participated in the league and was playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The team's inability to play could also be a setback. Neser will join the team now that Hazlewood has been let go.
Josh Hazlewood played only 3 matches in IPL 2023
Notably, Hazlewood only participated in three games of the IPL 2023. He picked up three wickets during this but after that, he was unable to participate in the competition. At Wankhede Stadium, Hazlewood participated in his 3rd and last IPL game of the season against the Mumbai Indians (MI). He bowled 3 overs during this game and leaked 32 runs but failed to pick up a single wicket. He bowled well against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by taking 2 wickets for 15 runs and also manage to pick up a wicket against Delhi Capitals.
